Opel Blitz (Kfz.305, 4x2) - main German cargo truck of WWII, designed in the mid of 1930s. More than 100000 were built in total. Many special modifications were made to the chassis of this vehicle by the army, producing fuel trucks, radio cars, fire trucks, staff busses and many more. Opel Blitz was successfully used from the first days of WWII to the end. These vehicles differed from other types in its simple operation, ease of repair and its stability to overcome all kinds of obstacle. These trucks were very popular among drivers in army units. |
